The Local Sport Defibrillator Grant Program allocates $4 million over four years to assist sporting clubs across NSW in the purchase and maintenance of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). An AED is a life saving device which delivers a controlled shock to an individual experiencing cardiac arrest, increasing their chances of survival. 

Funding available

  • Grants between $25,000 and $250,000 to fund local sport and physical activity organisations.

  • Funded activities must target groups identified by the Grant as 'inactive' e.g. female, youth, rural

Supported projects

  • This grant is for projects that increase the physical activity of identified groups on a regular basis.  
  • The grant does not cover infrastructure or capital assets.  Please refer to the link below.

Funding available

  • Up to 50% of the purchase price of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).

  • Funding amount ranges from $1,250 - $1,900 based on your club’s geographic Zone.

Supported projects

  • This grant is specifically for purchase of an AED from the list of approved providers.  Please refer to the link below.
