FEATURED GAME – LIVE ON 7TWO FROM 3 PM
NORTHERN SUBURBS v WARRINGAH at 3 pm, North Sydney Oval

The 2017 Grand Final rematch sees a total of five changes for the Northern Suburbs outfit as they host our featured game of the round. Lawrance Hunting and Connor Vest return for the Shoremen replacing Dan Solofa and Declan Carroll respectively. Pat Tafa comes into the back row for Gary Bautz and Michael Dowsett will start at halfback replacing Nicholas Duffy. Harry Burey makes his return to top grade with Connor Winchester out of the side. Two big inclusions for Warringah, firstly in form of chief navigator Hamish Angus who returns at five-eighth allowing Ben Marr to switch back to his traditional winger role in place of Ben Woollett. Matt Foulds also comes into the side in the second row, replacing Max Girdler.

Both teams have dangers across the park, but the battles to watch will be that of between veteran fly-half’s Angus Sinclair and Hamish Angus who respectively, will be instrumental to guiding their outfits around the paddock, not to mention their precision ball kicking skills. Both men have steered their teams to Grand Final victories and this weekend is bound to come down to the wire. Japanese Top League Canon Eagles scrumhalf Michael Dowsett returns to Northern Suburbs and will go head to head with the dominant Josh Holmes. Both scrum-halves with professional experience, this will be a real competitive match-up to keep an eye on.

The last time these sides met in Round 1, Northern Suburbs defeated Warringah 14 – 35 at Pittwater Rugby Park, making Norths only one of two teams who have beaten Warringah in the 2019 season thus far.
